Mar de Amores is in Cerro Alegre, Valparaiso, and there you can try Japanese and Chilean oysters, which go straight from the pool to your plate.

Mar de Amores is a restaurant that opened a little over a year ago on Cerro Alegre and is the first one with live seafood in Valparaiso.

In fact, what you find there are pools or rather seawater recirculation ponds, with oysters, scallops, mussels, and urchins, which are kept alive, so that they reach your table as fresh as possible.

Most of them come from small-scale aquaculture, that is, they buy directly from Justo García, who has sustainable and artisanal crops in Chiloé.
