Deciding to go out to see Cerro Panteón is choosing to go through the history of Chile and Valparaíso. Its name is because within its limits there are 3 cemeteries; Cemetery No. 1, for Dissidents (non-Catholics) and No. 2. In this hill full of stories you will find mausoleums belonging to the different foreign colonies and when observing their names you will notice the cultural mix that has been taking place throughout the years. It is definitely an open-air museum, an oasis of silence in the Buenos Aires maelstrom.
